Please pray for the health of our Bible School Students and families, the dust is everywhere now and out children are just not protected - pray they will not get meningitis!
Andrew and Erica Vahi
In November, 2007, Andrew and Erica moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick to build the Village of Hope in Canada. They have started the program in the Victory Center, a former hospital residence for nurses, in the old Victoria Public Hospital. They are working together with Monty Lewis in developing the center and training staff while taking the first men into the program. The missions statement for the Village of Hope is "to provide an organized opportunity for men and their families to overcome chemical addictions through a living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ."
Gary and Shelly Langerud
Their present focus is to strengthen a local church as a "team" pastor in counselling, music, preaching, and leadership training. They are currently aiding in a five year plan for church planting in Quebec, though strategy planning and leadership coaching.
Danny & Alycia DeLong
Danny and Alycia DeLong have been in England for the past 4 years with LifeFORCE Teams. They have sent out evangelistic teams to Canada, Spain, Malta and Africa, as well as facilitated teams from Canada. They are involved with many churches in the West Midlands of England, focussing primarily on youth work. As well, they are in the local public schools on a regular basis, speaking in assemblies and leading religious education classes.
One of the major programs they run is Project Gambia. This is a poverty awareness course that partners with high schools. They prepare a group of staff and students to go to The Gambia, West Africa, and visit a number of Christian schools there. This program has been very successful with schools and churches in England and The Gambia. Not only have the Christian schools in The Gambia been greatly improved and many children sponsored, but the groups of British staff and students, who are mostly non-Christians, see the difference that faith in Jesus has made to these people. This has created many opportunities to share the Gospel with the groups and lead individuals to the Lord!
Please pray for the Lord’s continued direction, wisdom, and favour as well as for more workers, as there is always a need for people to be a part of these programs.
Gerald & Ruth Nygren
